MEET THE ARTISTS

MEET THE ARTISTS

Aaron Marshall

Aaron Marshall has long been considered an innovator through the progressive, instrumental rock project, Intervals; he’s built a career on trusting his instincts, even when that intuition has led him down a decidedly less traveled road. That may mean tearing down genre norms, finding creative ways to interact with fans, or a commitment to self-releasing music even when label opportunities are readily available to him. Marshall has bet on himself continuously and backed that gamble up with hard work, unparalleled creativity, and an uncompromising desire to make each Intervals release a pivotal moment in the lineage of instrumental rock.

SAM GUAIANA

Sam Guaiana is a producer, mixer, and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario, based in Los Angeles. He has worked with rock and metal acts such as Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, Intervals, Bayside, Against The Current, and many more. Music that Sam has produced has gathered hundreds of millions of streams around the globe, as well as award nominations such as Silverstein’s JUNO nominated record “A Beautiful Place to Drown.”

JACOB UMANSKY

Jacob Umansky is a professional bass player, performer, composer, recording artist, and instructor residing in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the Berklee College of Music from 2013-2017, where he studied under the tutelage of Victor Bailey (Weather Report), Anthony Vitti, and Joe Santerre (John Petrucci). Jacob has been the bass player for the Canadian progressive rock band Intervals since 2017. He has also been the touring bass player for the blues/rock guitarist Nick Johnston. Other artists he’s toured or worked with include The Faceless, Nita Strauss, Marty Friedman, and Tosin Abasi. Jacob proudly endorses Dingwall Bass Guitars and has a signature plugin with Submission Audio.

NATHAN BULLA

Nathan Bulla has played drums professionally for over two decades with various acts across many genres, starting in Rock and Punk bands early on and then playing with Reggae and RnB acts for a few years before moving to more aggressive and complex musical tastes. Performing with vastly differing artists like Kim Mitchell and Ever Forthright in his early 20s (as well as his current bands Intervals and Auras) has inherently uniquely twisted Nathan’s style, thus allowing him to excel in versatile musical situations.
