MEET MR. BIG

Formed in 1988 in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Big combined the talents of Eric Martin on Vocals, Paul Gilbert on guitar (Racer X), Billy Sheehan on bass (Talas, David Lee Roth, Winery Dogs), and the late Pat Torpey (Robert Plant, Montrose, The Knack) on drums. One of the premier hard rock supergroups of the 1980s, Mr. Big wowed shredders everywhere with their incendiary chops and masterful songwriting. In 1989 they released their self-titled debut album featuring the single “Addicted to That Rush,” gaining them widespread acclaim. Thirty-four years later, Mr. Big is a household name to musicians worldwide, with total album sales of over 4 million copies. And while the enormous talent and spirit of Pat Torpey can never be replaced, special guest Nick D’Virgilio (Spock’s Beard, Big Big Train) will be filling in on drums and vocals for this workshop and the subsequent farewell 2023 tour.
