This workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in the craft of songwriting and bringing out the best in performers. We recommend that attendees be comfortable navigating Pro Tools, miking, patching, and finessing tracks using plug-ins and outboard gear to get the most out of this class.

Gavin Brown is a Canadian songwriter, musician, and record producer whose work has won 37 Juno Awards and earned a Grammy nomination for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack. He helped Three Days Grace achieve 17 #1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart — the most in the chart’s history. He also co-wrote “Monster” by Skillet, the most successful Christian rock song to date. Past credits include Sting, Barenaked Ladies, Billy Talent, Metric, Hoobastank, The Tragically Hip, Mother Mother, and Lil Peep.
KThrash is a talented writer, producer, and engineer who has worked with Travis Barker and recently as an independent producer. His credits include “She” by Jelly Roll, and he has worked with OTG Landon, Sueco, Machine Gun Kelly, Kenny Hoopla, YUNGBLUD, Poorstacy, Iann Dior, jxdn, Scott Stapp, Oliver Tree, and Avril Lavigne. A skilled musician, KThrash is also the lead guitarist for the rock band Escape the Fate.
Matt McAndrew appeared on the seventh season of NBC’s The Voice, finishing in second place. His cover of Hozier’s “Take Me to the Church” peaked at #5 on the iTunes charts and at #92 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, his original single “Wasted Love” debuted at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the highest chart position achieved by a The Voice artist to date. He is currently the vocalist for the band Rain City Drive.
