MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
SHAWN DEALEY

Equally comfortable mixing in an arena or a recording studio, Shawn Dealey has spent the last 20 years developing his craft as an in-demand recording engineer, mixer, and producer. Working with artists such as Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, Jared James Nichols, KEN mode, Bootsy Collins, We Came as Romans, Stu Hamm, and countless others, Shawn’s passionate approach to the art of recording, along with his hunger for new techniques, keeps him at the top of his game and can help you excel at yours.

MEET Paul Gilbert

From his career as a founding member of Mr. Big to frightening the guitar community with new levels of ferocious picking technique with shred-pioneers Racer X, Paul Gilbert has recorded a massive amount of stunning guitar music, all while circling the globe performing for sold-out arenas.

Paul’s legacy as a guitar instructor began when he was 18. His groundbreaking “Intense Rock” videos have inspired legions of guitarists to improve their accuracy, speed, and phrasing. From leading countless clinics and private lessons, Paul has deep experience in the art of communicating music to all levels of guitarists.

Paul’s style stands out for its rare combination of accuracy, creativity, and power — all of which are balanced with Paul’s sense of humor and pure love of music. Whether he’s playing to 10,000 fans or jamming one-on-one with a student, Paul is living his childhood dream of taking the sounds in his head and bringing them into reality — on the electric guitar.
